Historic Property Restoration offer a professional refurbishment service encorporating the full range of building trades. The photograph above shows a recent project where a redundant church building was restored and converted into high specification holiday lets.

Our experience from working on everything from ancient or industrial monuments to World Heritage sites has given us the knowledge and ability to carry out repair and refurbishment work which is most appropriate to a specific building. We use a mixture of traditional construction methods coupled with modern conservation techniques and our own time served skilled craftsmen to offer clients the security of a professional job, professionally executed.

We are able to offer stone cleaning and restoration as well as repointing of mortar joints, using lime mortars where applicable, the restoration of stained glass, ornate plasterwork, metalwork and bespoke joinery and kitchens. We partner with specialist subcontractors for the mechanical and electrical trades and have installed modern biomass boilers systems and ground source heat pumps. We undertake complete structural surveys and provide condition reports, along with competitive tenders for carrying out the required repairs.

“Historic Property Restoration carried out the first phase of the refurbishment of the Grade II listed Town Hall which involved work to the roof and the exterior carved stonework of the building which was sympathetically cleaned, restored and repaired. Work was also carried out in the Ballroom which had been damaged in a roof leak a few years earlier and the grand staircase was decorated to once again become a striking central feature of the building. The company were extremely professional in their approach throughout the entire process as befits a company with extensive experience in the conservation and restoration sector. The quality of the work enabled further funding to be sourced for the second phase internal works which resulted in over £1.2m being invested to restore this community asset to its former glory. GMDT would not hesitate in working with the company on similar projects or recommending them to other potential clients"
